If it loads okay, it may be that some of the mods/cc have become outdated. Try this test: Move your mods folder to the desktop, clear your game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder. Outdated/broken mods and cc will cause problems and conflicts in your saves and may make the game unplayable. Each new patch released will break a lot of game mods and custom content. You will need to exit the game and reload it for the mod to show as active when loading the game. Or mods/cc may not show up in game or work properly.
